A legal notice has been sent to Jatiya Party leader Mashiur Rahman Ranga for making a derogatory comment on Noor Hossain, who gave his life during the mass democratic uprising on the 90s.
Supreme Court lawyer ZI Khan Panna sent the notice on Monday (Nov 11).
The notice said: “The recent comment Jatiya Party leader Mashiur Rahman Ranga made about the martyr of the 1990 mass uprising is demeaning for the nation; therefore, the person who made such a disparaging statement will have to apologise within the next 24 hours; otherwise legal action will be taken against him.”
On Nov 10, Noor Hossain was called a ‘yaba addict’ by Ranga during a discussion on occasion of ‘democracy day’ at the Jatiya Party chairman’s office.
