Curtain falls on ninth edition of Dhaka Lit Fest

The three-day festival officially closed with a recitation and dance performance by South Indian writer and journalist Tishani Doshi on Saturday (Nov 9).
Dhaka Tribune Editor Zafar Sobhan, who gave a speech on behalf of Bangla Tribune and Dhaka Tribune, the title sponsors, thanked the audience for being in attendance despite the bad weather.

Brazilian writer Maria Filomena Bouissou Lepecki termed the program as one of the best she has seen.

We’ll try to bring in Nobel Prize winners.”
Bangla Academy Director General Habibullah Sirajee said that they will stay with the festival during its next edition while organizer and Director Sadaf Saaz said that the people coming to the festival amidst the bad weather shows where the program stands in the hearts of the people.
