Met office predicts light rainfall over coastal areas

“The depression over East-central Bay and adjoining area moved west-northwestwards and intensified into a deep depression over the same area at 9 am today… It is likely to intensify further and move in a northwesterly direction”, said a Met office bulletin.

Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over the coastal regions of Bangladesh because of the depression, added the bulletin.

Additionally, it said that the weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country with nearly unchanged night and day temperature.

As an outlook for the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted the weather may deteriorate at the end period.
