Four Neo JMB operatives held in Dhaka

The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested four suspected members of militant outfit neo-Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (neo-JMB) on Tuesday (Nov 4).
The arrests were made from the capital's Ramna Star Gate on Tuesday (Nov 4), said a CTTC statement.
The suspected militants have been identified as Arif Molla, 28, Md Illias Hossain alias Mithu, 28, Md Farhad Ali alias Fuad, 31 and Muntasim Billah alias Sabbir, 21, it added.
Police seized jihadist books and cell phones from their possession.
The four neo-JMB members had made a video for circulation through Islamic State (IS) media in mid-2018. The production was led by Rafiqul Hassan alias Artugul who was arrested later in Narsingdi, the statement read.
Later they met in Dhaka to make another video following the instructions of their ‘Amir’, it added .
Police lodged a case against the four under anti-terrorism laws on Tuesday before producing them to a a Dhaka court with a plea for a 10-day remand each.
