Ganajagaran Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarker has filed a writ petition challenging the government decision on barring him to go abroad and seeking court permission to travel.
Confirming the matter, Imran said Supreme Court senior lawyer M Amir-ul-Islam and Tania Amir will move his case.
Home ministry secretary, inspector general of police, immigration department and other relevant parties are the defendants in the case, he added.
Earlier, on Jul 21 the members of law enforcement agency prevented Sarker from travelling to the USA at the capital’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Sarker took the social media to disclose the news.
The Ganajagaran Mancha spokesperson strongly protested the government’s move to prevent him from travelling foreign countries.
When contacted to the airport immigration police, officials denied the comment.
