A Dhaka court has ordered the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to seize Tk 3.43 billion worth property of former BNP MP Mosaddek Ali Falu.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court acting Judge Al Mamun passed the order on Thursday (Oct 31).
The court asked ACC to seize property under the Money Laundering Act.
Earlier, ACC Deputy Director Gulshan Anwar filed a petition with the court to freeze the illegal property of Falu.
The anti-graft body found that the former BNP lawmaker amassed illegal wealth for malicious purposes through abuse of power and corruption during BNP-Jamaat led government.
On May 13 this year, ACC filed a case against Falu and three others on charges of laundering about Tk 1.84 billion.
