The Rapid Dhaka Battalion (RAB) has arrested Dhaka South City Councillor Moinul Haque Manju after raiding his office.
The ward-39 councillor Manju was arrested around 12:30 pm on Thursday (Oct 31) from his Tikatuli office following an extortion case filed with Wari police, RAB-3 chief Shafiullah Bulbul told Bangla Tribune.
“There allegations of illegal land grabbing, extortion, drug trade and operating gambling facilities against him,” Bulbul said.
He added that an unlicensed gun and drugs were seized from Manju’s office during the raid.
