CCTV footage shows thieves stealing Bangla Tribune vehicle

A CCTV footage obtained by Bangla Tribune shows thieves stealing a private car owned by the media outlet from Dhaka in board daylight.
The incident took place at one of the capital's busiest areas Karwan Bazar a little after 4pm on Tuesday (Oct 22).
Bangla Tribune Assistant Manager (human resource and administration) Alamgir Hossain said the driver of white colour Toyota Saloon (Dhaka Metro Ga 12-9410), Shahidul Islam parked the vehicle in front of Ambar Sha Mosque in Karwan Bazar at 4:04pm on Tuesday to offer the afternoon prayer.
When the driver returned to the vehicle at 4:25pm after finishing the prayer and found that the car was not parked there.
Driver Shaidul then looked for the car in the nearby area but he couldn't found it, Alamgir said.
Video footage of the CCTV camera installed on the adjacent building shows driver Shahidul parked the car at 4:04m. At that time, two men were seen following him. One of them was keeping an eye on Sahidul' movement while another is seen entering the car while talking over mobile phone at 4:13am.
The man then started the car's engine, took a U-turn and left the area in a couple of seconds, footage shows.
A case was with the capital's Tejgaon police following the incident.
Tejgaon police SI Dewan Mohamamd Sabur said they obtained the CCTV footage of the incident.
Two people were seen stealing the vehicle and police are trying to trace the thieves and recover the stolen car, he added.
