DU students will have to leave halls by 15 days after Masters exam

Aparajeyo Bangla, University of Dhaka. File PhotoDhaka University students who complete their Masters exam will have to vacate halls within 15 days, following the exam; a decision was given by the provost committee on Wednesday (Oct 9).
A media release in this regard said that the administration will allot seats to students based on merit and no one can reside at the halls without permission from administration.
Breach of the order will result in punishment, the notice added.
The authority has also requested the students to inform the administration of the presence of any drug related operation within the campus.
At the meet presided by Dhaka University VC, Dr Akhtaruzzaman, the killing of Abrar at BUET was denounced as a heinous crime along with demands made for exemplary punishment for the killers.
It was also stated that a committee has been formed with BUET to assess the possibility of establishing bunk beds in rooms which have excess students.
