Abrar's relative blames BCL for murder

Abrar Fahad. Photo: FACEBOOKAbu Talha, a cousin of killed BUET student, Abrar Fahad, has alleged that Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists killed Abrar.
“My brother was called from his room and then beaten to death; we found bruise marks on his body,” he alleges.
Authority discovered the body of Abrar on Sunday (Oct 6), night from the first floor of Sher-e-Bangla hall of BUET.
“On Monday (Oct 7), we received a call from a person who said Abrar is ill; come to Dhaka Medical Hospital. We came and waited in front of the emergency when a police van brought his dead body.”
Assistant Provost of the hall, Dr Shahinoor Islam and BUET doctor Masuk Elahi could not confirm anything, added Talha.
Roommates of Abrar said that around 7-8 pm on Sunday, two persons took Abrar with them and two hours later, they came to collect his clothes.
One student said, "On Sunday, I found Abrar on a cushion by the stairs around 2 am in critical condition; at that time, three other persons, all BCL members, were there. Later, we called the doctor who pronounced him dead.”
Students claim Abrar was tortured at room number 2011. Abrar was a second-year student of Electrical Engineering and hailed from Kushtia.
His father works in an NGO, the mother is a school teacher and younger brother is a student of Dhaka College.
