The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched investigation against those who amassed huge wealth through illegal casino business.
The probe was launched after the decision was made at a meeting held at the ACC headquarters in Dhaka on Monday (Sept 30), said its Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.
ACC Director Syed Iqbal Hossain was given the charge of inquiry and its Director General (Special Investigation) Sayeed Mahbub Khan was made the investigation officer, reports UNB.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) launched an anti-casino drive on Sept 18.
Law enforcement agencies have so far arrested 270 people during 35 raids across the country.
