A woman was gang raped when she appeared for a job interview at an office in Dhaka's Dhanmondi area.

Police have arrested two directors of Real Estate & Housing Association of Bangladesh, or REHAB-Shakil Kamal Chowdhury and Mohiuddin Shikdar-- in connection to the matter on Sunday (Sept 29) night.

Dhanmondi police station ASI Morfidul Islam confirmed Bangla Tribune that the victim filed a case with against the duo on Sunday night.

He said: "According to the case statement, the accused asked the victim to appear for a job interview at an office situated in Dhanmondi Road no-13. When the woman appeared for the interview, the duo gang-raped her.

"The victim has been sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for medical examination and treatment."
