First exhibition of Made in Equality held in city‘Meet the Makers’ was an effort by ‘Made in Equality’ to portray the unique lives and stories of people in the apparel industry in Bangladesh through storytelling, says a press release.

Made in Equality is a storytelling platform featuring people from the Bangladeshi RMG sector, especially garment workers.

It aims to generate public interest in improving the RMG industry, one of the largest contributing sectors to Bangladesh’s economy. This project shows garment workers and others in the industry in a light in which they have not been shown in before.

For almost two years now, Made in Equality has been working to bring forth the lives and perspectives of people in the apparel industry in Bangladesh through storytelling.

It believes that there is an opportunity to transform how the public perceives people in the apparel industry. This can lead to public advocacy on their behalf and greater consideration by consumers about their role in the garment industry.

This initiative is supported by C&A Foundation, with a vision to change the way the world perceives garment workers.
