The capital development authority, RAJUK has allocated only Tk 100,000 to construct a flyover in the city. However, top officials of the government agency are not fully aware of the issue.

RAJUK's Annual Development Plan for 2019-20 has set aside the astonishingly meagre amount for flyover between the capital's Farmgate and the Satrasta intersection at Tejgaon.  
Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim said that RAJUK chairman would be the best person to talk on the matter though the latter could not be reached despite several attempts.
RAJUK’s Urban Planner Ashraful Islam and its Executive Engineer (projects) Md. Ehsan Jamil said they were not aware of such a project.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Institute of Planners’, Dr. Adil Muhammad Khan, said: “Tt’s puzzling as to why Tk. 100,000 was allotted for a flyover; perhaps this was at a conceptual state which was not taken further.”
Since an amount has been allocated, someone has to answer for this. The practice of allocating budget without any proper plan indicates irresponsible behavior, he commented.
