Authorities at the Chittagong University have handed over five students to police on charges of alcohol possession.
CU Assistant Proctor Liton Mitra told Bangla Tribune, “We raided the dormitories and caught five students red handed for possessing alcohol from room no 151 of Suhrawardy Hall.”
Later, they were handed over to police.
The detainees were sent to Hathajari police custody, said ASI Md Chabur, in-charge of CU police outpost.
