When the Kakrail Police Outpost is heard, it seems that there is somewhere in Kakrail. However, it cannot be found in the Kakrail area because the Kakrail Police Outpost is inside the Ramna Police Station.






Police officers said, "We have to do this due to lack of space. Like Kakrail Police Outpost, there are several other outposts in Dhaka, which are located within the Thana Building. There are 52 police outposts in Dhaka city. These outposts have been set up to increase the area of the thana area and provide rapid police service. In each police outpost, a necessary number of ASI and constable do duties under a Sub Inspector.
According to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), there are three police outposts under Ramna Police Station. These are Siddheswari, Kakrail and Nayatola Police Outpost. Among them, Siddeswari and Kakrail police outposts are located at Ramna Police Station. Though a long time has passed, these two outposts do not have a building of their own. As a result, the outcome is not meeting the goals. There are allegations that the people of that area are being deprived of the rapid police service.
Zafarullah, a businessman of Siddheswari area, told the Bangla Tribune, ‘this is a big area, and the population of the area is increasing every day. There are banks, ATM booths, and big business establishments. There must always be police so that people can trade safely. I have heard there is a police outpost in this area. But I have not seen it till now.’
Kakrail Police Outpost members perform the tasks in sitting in the Ramna Police Station. Many crimes including hijacking are going on Kakrail on a regular basis. Gendaria thana is under Wari division of DMP. There are two police outposts in this thana area. One is Gandaria police outpost, the other is Narinda police outpost. The Gandaria Police Outpost has long been in Gandaria Thana. It also doesn’t own any building or office.
Tejgaon industrial area police station is inside Tejgaon industrial zone. In the long run, the outpost could not start working with a separate office. The outpost is situated on the fourth floor of Tejgaon industrial area Thana.
Tejgaon Industrial Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mazharul Islam told the Bangla Tribune that the application has been sent to the ministry for getting the land for Tejgaon Industrial Area Thana. It is awaiting approval. Maybe it will take time to go through different processes. Hopefully, soon the land will be available for the outpost. '
The Mohammadpur thana area increased around the Beribadh area. A Large area is these including Rayerbazar, Dhaka Uddyan, Nabinagar, and Basila. There are two police outposts. Before the establishment of Mohammadpur thana, it was Mohammadpur Police Outpost. Though there is a police station building, the camp remained. The camp is little away from the Mohammadpur thana building.
Locals say it is very important to have an outpost in the Beribadh area. Apart from this, there is another police outpost called the Rayerbazar Police Outpost in this thana area.
DMP Tejgaon Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) Biplob Kumar Sarkar said, "Mohammadpur Police Outpost has a separate office. Police personnel always carry out duties in specific areas. However, the demand for the land of Tejgaon Industrial Police Outpost has been made.
Khilkhet thana area of Gulshan division of DMP is also big enough. Khilkhet police outpost has been established to provide police services to all the people of this area. But it also does not own any building. Activities of the camp are done inside the Khilkhet thana area.
A senior official of DMP said, "Not only for the crisis of land but due to the manpower crisis of police and security concerns it is unnecessary to establish police camps. Because there will be weapons in these camps. Security is also needed for these. So, after checking everything, the place will be set for the camps. "
