The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has sued Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh’s Secretary General Abdul Mannan and 11 others on charges of embezzling Tk 430 million of the Bangladesh Industrial Finance Co Ltd (BIFC).
On Thursday (Aug 8), the graft watchdog filed two separate cases with its integrated district office in Dhaka-1, said ACC Director Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.
The first case was filed against former BFIC chairman Mannan and its Managing Director Golam Jelani Didar and nine others on charges of embezzling Tk 288.4 million from the financial institution.
The second case, over embezzlement of Tk 143 million was filed against eight people, including Mannan.
