Writ asking for security at court

The writ was lodged by Supreme Court lawyer Ishrat Hasan on Tuesday (Jul 16). She said that a hearing may be held on Wednesday (Jul 17).
Ishrat said: “We are concerned the way a person was killed in front of a judge on Monday (Jul 15) in Cumilla; therefore, I am seeking a court directive for security of judges.”
The writ mentions secretaries of cabinet, law, home as defendants.
On Monday, one accused of a murder, stabbed another accused of the same case at the room of the judge in Cumilla. The incident happened at the court of judge Fatema Ferdous. In the incident, a person called Faruk Hossain, 27 was killed while the other person Abul Hassan, 25 was arrested by the police.
