Dhaka Board chairman, Professor M Ziaul Huq, told Bangla Tribune: “JSC will be completed in 10 days, SSC and HSC in 20 and 28 to 30 days respectively.”
The new time frame will be implemented from the next exams.
Currently, JSC takes 15, SSC, 28 and HSC 45 days.
Practical exam does not have any gaps so the time remains the same.
Education Board says that during public exams, time will be reduced by 10 to 15 days while classes will go on, which will benefit the students.
If exams finish fast then question paper leaks can also be prevented.
Dhaka Board chairman adds: “Since exam time will be reduced, students will get the chance to attend classes and schools/colleges will be able to run academic activities without break.”
In addition, long exam time creates pressure on guardians and students; also, during gaps, nefarious groups emerge with immoral plans, the chairman commented.
