Madrasa curriculum being revamped

Madrasa education curriculum is being upgraded; as a result, a student passing Dakhil exam will be able to obtain employment in the middle- east.
In the amended curriculum, spoken Arabic and technical training will be included.
Madrasa education board says that tailoring, sewing and dress making will be made mandatory.
Deputy minister for education, Mohibul Hassan Naofel, said: “Technical training sections are being introduced in madrasas and Arabic will be taught to ensure that students easily get work in middle eastern countries.”
Secretary of the technical and madrasa education, Md. Alamgir, ads: if necessary, trainers will be brought from overseas; the work to update curriculum has already started.
He also said that three thousand teachers will be sent abroad for training.
Newly transferred chairman of the Madrasa Education Board, professor A K M Saefullah, observed: in addition to trainings on sewing and dress making, food technology, computer operating, welding and mechanical trade will be added. Technical training will be made mandatory.”
