Two alleged hijackers have been killed in Gazipur in what the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) described as a shootout.
The incident was reported early Thursday (May 30) from the district city’s Tongi Bridge area, said RAB.
The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.
Confirming the matter to Bangla Tribune, RAB media spokesperson Senior Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan said, “One firearm and locally made weapons were seized from the scene.”
“One RAB member was injured in the shootout,” added the elite force official.
