A team of Bangladesh Police left Dhaka to join a UN peace-keeping mission in Darfur on a chartered flight.
The 140-member contingent led by Mohammad Abdul Halim left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday (May 25), said a media statement by the police headquarters.
Another 16 police officer also left for Sudan on the same flight as Individual Police Officer (IPO) led by Superintendent Moktar Hossen, it added.
Members of Bangladesh Police are working in different peace missions in Congo, Mali, Ivory Coast, South Sudan and Sudan, said the statement.
