Once Akbar Hossain had everything – an office, class filled with students and a social position but now, after losing his job as a teacher on false accusations, Akbar is mentally imbalanced. After a long legal battle, he got back his job at the order of the high court but it ended after a day because the tenure of his job was over.

After a day in office, he went into retirement and within four months had a stroke and lost mental balance. When the Atlanka Secondary School in Pabna was established, Akbar was the head teacher. It’s believed that at the conspiracy of the managing committee he lost his job on 30 May, 1995 and got back his post on 24 July, 2016. However, the management committee disregarded high court, ministry of education and district administration orders and refused him entry to the school.

He finally joined on 20 August, 2017, the day before he was supposed to go into retirement.

Four months later, he suffered a stroke. Now, he wanders around the Chatmohor rail station.

Akbar is now disorientated and unable to carry on any conversation.

Headmaster of a nearby school said that Akbar was terminated on accusations of financial skullduggery. He was driven out of the school and the humiliation was too much and he lost mental balance.

Reportedly, Akbar also faced complications in getting salary plus other benefits which shattered him.
