Around 200 workers of Latif Bawani Jute Mills blocked the road around 9am on Tuesday (May 7).Workers of a jute mill have blocked the Jatrabari area in Dhaka demanding the payment of their outstanding wages.
Around 200 workers of Latif Bawani Jute Mills blocked the road around 9am on Tuesday (May 7).
Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, Jatrabari police OC Kazi Wazed Ali said, "Workers are demanding the payment of their outstanding wages. They have said their protest is valid.”
"We have talked to them. They will leave soon, and are not going to harass people,” said Ali.
Around 200 workers of Latif Bawani Jute Mills blocked the road around 9am on Tuesday (May 7).Earlier on Monday (May 6), around 1,000 workers of Latif Bawani Jute Mills and Karim Jute Mills had blocked the road near the Demra Staff Quarter area with the same demand.
