IT specialist abducted from Tejgaon

Ataur Rahman Shahin. Facebook/Ataur Rahman ShahinAn IT specialist named Ataur Rahman Shahin, 38, was abducted from Tejgaon area in the capital around 9pm on Thursday (May 2).
Reportedly, he was bundled into a microbus by three persons from in front of the Akij House.
Since then, his phone is switched off. The police have already collected the CCTV footage and acting OC of Tejagon thana, Md. Ali Hossain, says: “We sent police officers to the area after the incident took place.”
Brother in law of Shahin says: “Shahin is the assistant manager for Bengal Glass and sometimes worked part time for other offices and on Thursday went to work at the Akij House; after coming out from work at around 7:30, he and one of his colleague sent for separate requests for a Pathao ride through mobile app. When his colleague left, he was standing alone on the footpath when a microbus stopped a little away from him and then slowly moved towards Shahin, who was engrossed in his mobile.
Then three persons came out and dragged him into the vehicle.
Duty officer of Tejgaon thana, Md. Faruk, said, “After the incident, CCTV footage has been collected and our senior officers are working on it.”
