A court in Dhaka set Jun 18 to submit the probe report in the murder case of Islamic scholar and TV personality Mawlana Nurul Islam Faruki.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Devbrata Biswas set the date as investigation officer failed to submit the report on Thursday (May 2), court official Abu Yousuf told Bangla Tribune.
On Aug 27, 2014, Faruki was murdered at his 174, East Razabazar home in the capital.
His son Foysal Faruki lodged the case against unidentified assilants with Sher-E-Bangla Nagar Police Station.
So far, 16 suspects have been arrested in connection with the case including 13 members of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), Ansarullah Bangla Team and Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami (HuJI). Among them, 12 are in prison.
