Bangladesh the Vice President in UN Convention against Corruption

Conference of States Parties to the UN Convention against CorruptionBangladesh has been elected as Vice President in the 7th session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption. A press release from the Bangladesh Embassy in Austria has read this information.

The press release informed that Abu Zafar, the Bangladesh Ambassador to Austria, was elected as one of the three elected vice presidents of the Asia-Pacific Group. He will perform this responsibility for the next two years.

The press release also read that the 7th session of the Conference of States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption has been kicked off for five days in Vienna on Monday (06 November) and Mr. Abu Zafar is leading the Bangladesh team there. Representatives from 183 countries and nongovernment development organisations are participating in the conference.
