Nusrat's body being taken home

The body of Nusrat Jahan Rafi who was set on fire for refusing to withdraw sexual assault charges against the principal of her madrasa is being taken to her home in Feni.
The 18-year-old lost a five day battle against extensive burn injuries on Wednesday (Apr 10).
Her family started for their home in Feni’s Sonagazi on Thursday (Apr 11) where she will be laid to rest.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where Nusrat was undergoing treatment arranged for the freezing van carrying Nusrat’s body, said its director.
Earlier in the day, a three-member team headed by DMCH Forensic Division chief Sohel Mahmud carried out the autopsy on her body.
Before that Shahbag police prepared an investigation report of her body against a general diary.

The 18-year-old was set on fire on Apr 11 for refusing to withdraw sexual assault charges against madrasa principal Siraj-ud-Daula on Saturday (Apr 6), when she went to sit for her Alim exams, equivalent to Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC).
