Two killed in Dhaka ‘shootout’

Two people have been killed in the capital’s Tejgaon’s industrial area in what the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) described as shootout.
The incident was reported early on Friday (Apr 5), said RAB.

The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Nayem and 38-year-old Jamal.

“Two members of a inter-district car snatching racket died during a shootout between a robber gang and RAB at a checkpoint in Tejgaon area,” RAB media wing Director Mufti Mahmud Khan told Bangla Tribune.
A stolen vehical, pistol and locally made sharp weapons were seized from the spot, added the elite force official.
