High Court gets 18 additional judges

Supreme Court of BangladeshThe government has appointed 18 new judges to the Supreme Court’s High Court Division.
The Law and Jusctice Ministry’s official order issued on Wednesday said that Presidenr M Abdul Hamid appointed the additional judges, whom include judicial officers and lawyers, for two years.
The newly-appointed High Court judges, include former district judge Md Abu Ahmed Jamadar, now a member of the International Crimes Tribunal and Additional Secretary to the law ministry Md Mostafizur Rahman.
Narsingdi District and Sessions Judge Fatema Nazib, Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Kamrul Hossain Molla, Dhaka District and Sessions Judge SM Quddus Zaman and Dhaka’s Divisional Special Judge Md Atoyar Rahman have been made High Court judges.
Several members of the attorney general’s office have been also appointed. They are Deputy Attorneys General Khizir Hayat, SM Maniruzzaman, Shashangk Shekhar Sarker, Sardar Md Rashed Jahangir and Khondoker Diliruzzaman.
The Supreme Court lawyers, who have been made High Court judges are SM Abdul Mobin, Mohammad Ali, Mohi Uddin Shamim, Md Riaz Uddin Khan, Md Khairul Alam, Ahmed Sohel and KM Hafizul Alam.
