Khaleda’s health condition improving: BSMMU

The 73-year-old former prime minister was admitted to the BSMMU with pain in joints of her hands and legs, and diabetes on Monday (Apr 1).The health condition of BNP chief Khaleda Zia has further improved after shifting her to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) from the prison, say the hospital authorities.
“She (Khaleda) is well. Her health condition is now better than yesterday’s,” its Director AK Mahbubul Hoque told a media call on Tuesday (Apr 2), reports BSS.
Responding to a query, he said proper treatment is being given to Khaleda.
“She is satisfied and happy with the medical board,” the BSMMU hospital chief was quoted in the state news agency’s report.
On Monday, the 73-year-old former prime minister was admitted to the BSMMU with pain in joints of her hands and legs, and diabetes.
Her treatment is being supervised by a five-member medical board.
