The government has announced a compensation of Tk 10,000 each for the traders and 20kg rice each for workers who have been affected by a fire at a the kitchen market section of the DNCC Market in capital’s Gulshan-1.
The traders affected by the fire will receive Tk 10,000 each in compensation and the workers will get 20 kg rice each.
State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Enamur Rahaman announced the assistance after visiting the fire-hit market on Saturday (Mar 30).
The ministry will make recommendation for the rehabilitation of the affected, said Rahaman before adding he would speak to the Dhaka South mayor to build concrete structure at the market.
