The fire broke out around 5.45am on Saturday (Mar 30) at Dhaka Norh City Corporation (DNCC) market in Gulshan-1.A fire has broken out at Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) market in Gulshan-1.
The fire was erupted around 5.45am on Saturday (Mar 30), said Ataur Rahman, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence.

He said that 20 fire-fighting units have been working at the scene to douse the flames.

Police said any casualties were yet to be reported.

“Members of Air Force and Navy have been working with Fire Service units to put the fire out,” Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director Lt Col Abdullah Ibn Zaid told Bangla Tribune.

The fire was broken out around 5.45am on Saturday (Mar 30) at Dhaka Norh City Corporation (DNCC) market in Gulshan-1.The market was gutted by a devastating fire on Jan 3, 2017, causing a part of it to collapse.

A pair of major fire incidents in the capital have shook the nation, the first being a fire in Old Dhaka's Chawkbazar that took 70 lives, and the second that took place on Thursday (Mar 28) in a commercial building in upscale area of Banani, killing 25.
