The High Court has asked the trial court hearing the case against Photographer Shahidul Alam to forward all the case dockets.

The High Court bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil passed the order on Wednesday (Mar 13) while hearing a plea seeking stay-order on the case’s proceedings.

Barrister Sara Hossain moved the stay-order plea before the court while the state was represented by Attorney General Mahbubey Alam.

The writ sought the legality of the case and a stay order on the probe into the case filed under the ICT act.

Shahidul Alam was arrested in a case filed under Section 57 ICT Act on Aug 5, 2018, few hours after he had given an interview to Qatar-based television channel Al Jazeera on the student protests for road safety.

Later on Nov 15, he was granted bail by the High Court.
