The country is likely to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms during the next two days, according to a Meteorological Department’s forecast on Sunday (Mar 4).
A trough of westerly low which lies over the Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining area of Bangladesh, and a seasonal low which lies over the South Bay are behind the gloomy weather.
The Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions—and one to two places in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions—will experience thunderstorms and rain; with hail in isolated locations throughout the country, it said.
The daytime temperature may fall by 1-3°C and night-time temperature may rise by 1-2°C throughout the country.
