Rain or thundershowers are likely to hit at a few places over the country in 24 hours ending at 9am Sunday (Feb 17), predicts Met office.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Chattogram and Barishal divisions,” said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulleting on Saturday (Feb 16).
It is also likely to occur with hails at isolated places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna and Mymensingh divisions during the period, it reads.
Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may fall by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius over the country during the period.
The highest temperature in the country was recorded 33.8 degrees Celsius at Chattogram’s Sitakunda on Friday (Feb 16) and Saturday’s minimum temperature is 12.7 degrees Celsius at Maulvibazar’s Srimangal division.
The sun sets at 5:54 pm on Saturday and rises at 6:31am on Sunday (Feb 17) in Dhaka.
