Strict measures will be taken against any kind of harassment of the expatriates, said State Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmad.
The state minister paid a sudden visit to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday (Feb 14) after his return from UAE.
During his visit, he spoke to the airport staff and employees at work.
He visited the expatriates' welfare desk, various passenger counters and custom’s checking points, and came across multiple complaints from the passengers.
In response to that, he pledged to transfer the expatriates' welfare desk to a more accessible location.
He also instructed the airport staff and employees to ensure maximum service to the expatriates.
