Two people were arrested from Kumira area under Sitakunda upazila in Chattogram on Friday (Dec 14) for making derogatory comment about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on facebook.
The accused are 28-year-old Sayed Ikram Shafi and 45-year-old Azad Kamal.
A team of police Bureau of Investigation led by its officer in charge Santush Chakma arrested them from the village around 3pm for their ‘derogatory comment’ about PM on social media facebook, reports state news agency BSS.
Santush Chakma said the complaint will be recorded under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.
Sitakunda police Sub-Inspector Kamrul Islam filed a case against them in this regard.
