A fire which broke out at a Kawran Bazar building has been brought under control, said fire service officials.
The fire was reported around 10:30am on Monday (Nov 26), said fire service control room official Ataur Rahman.
The fire broke out from a cylinder blast at the lane behind Jahangir Tower, which houses the offices of private TV channel ETV, he added.
The fire spread on the ground floor and first floor of the building. Seven firefighter units rushed to the scene and brought it under control, Rahman said.
