The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will press charges against BNP leader and former Dhaka mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka’s son and daughter for not filing their asset details.
On Sunday (Nov 25), the graft watchdog gave the green light to submit the charge sheet in two separate cases filed against Israk Hossain and Sarika Sadeque in 2010, said ACC Deputy Director Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.
The siblings were served with ACC notices in 2008 to file their asset details. In 2010, the ACC started two separate cases with the Ramna police in Dhaka.
Israk and Sarika, however, moved the High Court when the proceedings were stayed. The court later ruled against them.
