Former BNP state minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon has been arrested from Chattogram’s Chwakbazar area early Friday (Nov 23).

The arrest came days after the BNP’s international affairs secretary wrote to the Election Commission on Nov 8 seeking police protection to appear in court.

Chwakbazar police OC Abul Kalam Azad told Bangla Tribune, “A team of detectives from Chandpur police raided at a house ‘Mamtaz Chayanir’ at Chatteshwari Road around 4:30am and arrested Milon.”

Milon was wanted in 16 cases.
