The High Court has fixed Tuesday (Oct 29) to announce its decision on BNP Chief Khaleda Zia’s appeal against lower court’s verdict in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
Bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md. Mostafizur Rahman fixed the date on Monday (Oct 29).
On Feb 8, Special Judge-5 Dr Akhtaruzzaman sentenced former prime minister Khaleda Zia to five-year imprisonment after the court found her guilty of embezzling funds made to the Zia Orphanage Trust.
Khaleda’s counsels challenged the verdict in the High Court few days after the court’s judgement.
