Security has been beefed up in and around the special court set up in the old jailhouse, at the capital’s Nazimuddin Road ahead of the verdict in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case.
Law enforcement agencies have blocked access to adjacent roads with police officers positioned at all barricaded entries to Nazimuddin road.
Additional security personnel from various agencies have been deployed in and around the security perimeter, with outsiders’ movement restricted until further notice.
“Strict security arrangement has been made to avoid any unwarranted situation,” said an NSI (National Security Intelligence) official on condition of anonymity.
