Saudi delegation in city to see model mosques project progress

A five-member delegation of Saudi Arabia has arrived in Dhaka to see the progress of a project entitled “setting up of 560 model mosques and Islamic cultural centres in districts and upazilas’.
The delegation members included Ahmed Ali Rumi, a representative from Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Adnan Bamagas and Turki Al Alaoui, representatives of the Foreign Ministry Affairs and Fahad Al Otaibi and Multaq Al Qahtani, representatives of the Ministry of Finance.
During their stay in Bangladesh, they Saudi delegation members will make a courtesy call on the prime minister and also exchange views with the Islamic scholars.
The Saudi delegation will visit the Cantonment Central Mosque on Monday and the Baitul Mukkaram National Mosque, reports news agency BSS.
The team will hold a meeting with senior officials of several ministries and the Islamic foundation.
They will also visit the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mojibur Rahman National Museum.
