Cyclone Titli is likely to bring heavy rainfall across Bangladesh as it is losing intensity after claiming eight lives in the eastern Indian state of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

A bulletin from the Bangladesh Met Department on Friday said that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Chattogram, Barishal, Khulna, Dhaka, Rajshahi, Mymenshing and Sylhet divisions.

Deep depression still persists over Odisha, the bulletin added.

Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra maritime ports have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal no 3 (three).

On Wednesday (Oct 10), Titli rapidly strengthened to a very severe cyclonic storm before making landfall on Odisha early Thursday (Oct 11) morning.
