A helicopter with six people onboard including Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar has crashed in Rajshahi on Thursday.

The injured were treated at Godagari Upazila health complex and they are doing well, the local police OC Jahangir Alam told media.

The AHW helicopter, belonging to Impress Telefilm, crashed around 2:45pm Thursday.

The occupants of the helicopter sustained minor injuries, Alam said.

Swarna Kishori Network Director Farzana Brownia was among the other occupants of the helicopter.

According to Alam, the Channel i team was in Rajshahi to distribute bicycles to girls under the Swarna Kishori project at the Anwara Fahim Ziauddin Pilot Girls’ High School.

“The helicopter took off from the Lalbagh helipad for Dhaka at around 2:45, but crashed in front of a house in the locality, injuring those on board,” he added.
