One-and-half-month-old conjoined twins, Aisha and Maisha from Chattogram have been admitted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
On Aug 21, Hosne Ara, the wife of daily wage worker Md Yunus, gave birth to them at a Chattogram Hospital.
On Sunday, they were admitted to the DMCH through a voluntary organisation.
After initial examinations, Aisha and Maisha have been admitted under the Paediatric Surgery Department.
The baby girls are joined along their stomachs, legs, uterus and rectum, said Syed Abdul Adil, DMCH paediatric resident surgeon.
“They will go through extensive diagnosis after which we will get a clear idea,” he told Bangla Tribune on Sunday.
