The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has barred five Titas Gas officials, including its Managing Director Mir Mashiur Rahman from leaving the country.
The Deputy Director and investigating officer of ACC, Md. Farid Ahmed issued a letter to the police superintendent (immigration) of the special branch on Thursday (Oct 4).
The ACC is investigating allegations of embezzling funds and acquiring assets beyond known income against these officials.
The other officials of the state-owned gas distribution company are, Deputy General Manager SM Abdul Wadud , Narayanganj regional office’s General Manager Shafiqur Rahman, engineering services department’s Manager Shahjada Faraji and Assistant Officer Abu Siddique Tayani.
