Rapid Action Battalion has detained a female drug dealer with 30,000 pieces of yaba pills in Dhaka, said a statement.
The detainee was Mukta Haque, 36, who hails from Narail.
A team of RAB nabbed the woman in the kitchen market of AGB Colony in the city’s Motijheel in the morning and seized the contraband yaba pills worth Tk 10 million, reads the statement.
During initial interrogation, Mukta confessed to supplying the contraband tablets in different parts of the capital for long.
A case was filed under the Narcotics Control Acts.
In another drive, a team of RAB-10 detained two drug traders along with 12,000 pieces of yaba pills from Sadarghat Launch Terminal.
The detainees are Mommad Ali Zinnah, 28, son Hemayet Ali Mollah of Khamarnaz village of Natore’s Gurudaspur Upazila and Md Munna, 30, son Abdul Sarkar of Moddhya Bhodraghat of Sirajganj’s Kamarkhand Upazila.
A case was filed with the city’s Kotwali police station.
