Dhaka is going to build new chancery building in Ankara to bolster the bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and Turkey.
It will be built at the diplomatic enclave of the Turkish capital and the construction work started on Tuesday.Two senior citizens of Bangladesh community in Turkey inaugurated the work and Ambassador M Allama Siddique and other officials and community members were present, says a press release.
The chancery complex will have embassy, ambassador’s residence and 275-seat auditorium.The project is expected to be completed within 18 months.
It is mentionable here in 2012 when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visted Turkey, both the countries exchanged land in the diplomatic enclaves to build chancery.
